Account and data

An account is optional. Borrowed Gravity remains playable offline, and guest progress does not require signing in. Account and guest progress stay in separate local namespaces.

Sign in and synchronize progress

Account creation is temporarily unavailable during beta service verification. You can keep playing offline as a guest.

  1. Open Borrowed Gravity.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Choose Continue with Apple and complete Apple’s sign-in sheet.
  4. Keep the app open briefly while online for the first synchronization.

The game writes progress locally first. When you are signed in and connectivity returns, compact progress changes are synchronized through Supabase. A server-side merge keeps earned completion and best valid results instead of blindly replacing one device with another.

Sign out without deleting

Signing out hides that account’s local progress on this device until the same account signs in again. It does not delete the account or its cloud progress. The app starts a fresh guest with separate progress.

Export cloud data

  1. Open Settings → Account → Export Cloud Data.
  2. Authenticate again if iOS asks.
  3. Review and save the generated JSON file using Apple’s share sheet.

The export includes the account record, cloud progress keyed by stable mission identifiers, earned results, synchronization timestamps, and current privacy preferences. It does not contain raw flight trajectories because those are not uploaded.

Delete the account and cloud progress

  1. Open Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  2. Read which cloud and local records will be affected.
  3. Confirm deletion and authenticate with Apple again if requested.
  4. Wait for the success screen before closing the app.

Successful deletion disables the account, removes its live Supabase profile and cloud progress, removes that account’s local progress namespace from the device, and starts a fresh guest. The deleted account’s progress is not converted into guest progress. The app also attempts to revoke the associated Sign in with Apple authorization. Any residual provider copies are subject to the provider’s backup and deletion processes.

Deleting the app does not delete a cloud account. Use the in-app Delete Account control first. If you only remove Borrowed Gravity from Apple’s “Sign in with Apple” list, that also does not by itself erase cloud progress.

Reset guest progress

Use Settings → Data → Reset Local Progress to erase the current guest’s local progress. This is separate from signing out or deleting an account. Uninstalling the app removes its entire local app container but does not authenticate deletion of a cloud account.

Control product analytics

Gameplay and product analytics are on by default. Change the choice at any time under Settings → Privacy → Share Product Analytics. Turning it off stops future analytics events; it does not affect gameplay, local saves, or cloud synchronization.

If you cannot access the app

Email borrowedgravity@susnoodle.com and describe only which control you cannot reach. Do not include an Apple relay address, account ID, analytics ID, access token, exported file, or screenshot containing account details in the first message. The developer can reply with the next safe step without asking you to publish sensitive data.

No account shown?

If Settings says you are playing as a guest and you have never completed Sign in with Apple, there is no Borrowed Gravity cloud account to delete. Use Settings → Data → Reset Local Progress only if you want to erase the current guest’s progress.
